Stortorget is the main square in Stockholm's Old Town and, according to Visit Stockholm, the oldest square in the city. The city says it was mentioned as early as 1420. The west side has colorful façades that Visit Stockholm describes as probably the most photographed in the city. The square is home to the Nobel Prize Museum, café Chokladkoppen, bakery Grillska Huset, and bar and restaurant Pharmarium. A visit can take in the square's façades and these named places; the city identifies them as highlights around the square.

OURWAY's website describes private guided experiences across Scandinavia, tailored to guests' interests and schedules. It says these can be on foot, by bike or in a private vehicle. The company describes itself as family-run and says it began building tours in 2011. Its site also says its guides are local and that the experiences are private. These are general details about OURWAY's guided experiences, not a published schedule or price for a visit to Stortorget. The supplied material gives no visit duration or seasonal opening information for the square.
