Maximum sentence for "The Monster from Avignon" – 51 men convicted

Dominique Pelicot is sentenced to the maximum penalty of 20 years' imprisonment for, among other things, aggravated rape, announces the court in Avignon. All 51 defendants in the highly publicized French case are deemed guilty, most of them for aggravated rapes.
