Ukraine will lose the war against Russia if the USA were to withdraw its support to Kyiv, says the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyj.

If they cut back, I believe we will lose. Of course, we will stay and fight regardless, says the president in an interview with the American TV network Fox News.

We have production, but it's not enough to win. And I don't think it's enough to survive, says Zelenskyj.

The incoming President of the USA, Donald Trump, is critical of the billions in support his predecessor Joe Biden has given to Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale war in 2022.

Trump has promised that as president, he will quickly end the war, but has not provided any details on how it will be done.

In the interview with Fox, Zelenskyj says that unity between Ukraine and the rest of Europe, as well as between Ukraine and the USA, is important. He believes that Donald Trump has a chance to influence Putin and bring an end to the war.

He is much stronger than Putin. The USA is stronger, the economy is stronger. The USA has a very great influence, says Zelenskyj.
