Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj says that autumn can decide the outcome of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Together with our partners, we can strengthen our positions in the way that is necessary for victory, he says in a speech recorded on a flight to Pennsylvania, where he visited a factory that manufactures artillery shells.
Next, Zelenskyj will visit the UN in New York and Washington. During the trip, Ukraine will present its victory plan to US President Joe Biden. And he will visit the US Congress and meet with presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Weapons to defend our independence and our people. Diplomacy to bring together partners and force Russia to peace. And justice so that Russia is held accountable for this war and feels its consequences.
