A woman in her 90s has died in a crash between a car and a lorry in Eskilstuna, according to the police on their website.
The alarm came in just before 2 pm on Wednesday.
The woman, who was driving the car, was taken to hospital but her life could not be saved. The lorry driver escaped without serious injury.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident. No one is suspected.
