The past few days have seen strong winds over parts of Sweden, and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued yellow warnings in several areas of the country.
On Sunday, among other things, a wind turbine in Härjedalen was blown over and released around a hundred liters of oil, reported Östersunds-Posten.
However, milder weather is expected next week when a high-pressure system moves in over the country.
It's just temporarily cold weather now, then it will get really mild, says Angelica Lundberg.
Tuesday night marks the beginning of a change, and temperatures in the southern parts of the country are expected to be around ten degrees in the coming days.
It will be plus degrees far north during the week, and on Tuesday, it will only be minus degrees locally in the Mountains and Tornedalen, says Angelica Lundberg.
The strong winds of the past few days were brought in by a low-pressure system with precipitation over southern Norrland on Sunday night.
Mostly northern Sweden got snowfall, but further south it quickly turned to rain, says Angelica Lundberg.
