France and the EU must act to counter the dominant position that the USA is striving for under President Donald Trump. This is the opinion of France's liberal Prime Minister François Bayrou.
The USA has decided on an extremely dominant policy, with the help of the dollar, industrial policy and a gathering of all research and all investments, says Bayrou in a speech in southern French Pau on Monday, according to the newspaper Le Figaro.
If we don't do anything, we will be dominated, crushed and marginalized, warns Bayrou.
