The German automotive giant Volkswagen (VW) is reportedly willing to sell 15 percent of the shares in the truck giant Traton, which also includes Scania, based in Södertälje. The information is reported by the German financial magazine Manager Magazine, citing sources close to the company.
The sale, which is intended to take place during the first half of the year, is expected to generate around 2 billion euros for VW, which owns around 90 percent of Traton's shares prior to the sale.
VW is struggling, just like many other automotive manufacturers, with decreased demand on an increasingly tough market.
