ViaPlay is struggling with tax debts related to the pandemic, reports Dagens Media. According to the newspaper, four of the group's companies have debts of over 250 million kronor.

The company has now applied for an installment plan with the Tax Agency.

"ViaPlay Group has applied for and been granted deferment according to the applicable rules for tax deferment during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as an installment plan from the Tax Agency. We plan to repay all taxes, fees, and interest by September 2027 at the latest," the company writes in an email to the newspaper.

In connection with the coronavirus pandemic, ViaPlay applied to defer payments for, among other things, VAT and employer's contributions. The debt initially amounted to nearly 733 million kronor.
