USA stock exchanges fell clearly for the second day in a row on Tuesday. The tariffs against Mexico, Canada, and China are not liked by stock speculators.

At the close, the three leading American stock indexes pointed downwards.

The S&P 500 index fell 1.2 percent and is now back at approximately the same level as when Donald Trump won the presidential election in early November.

The technology-heavy Nasdaq index retreated 0.4 percent, while the Dow Jones industrial index retreated 1.6 percent.

On Monday, US stock exchanges fell around 2 percent.

Among stocks that continued to stand out was once again Tesla. The electric car giant's share retreated 4.4 percent.
