Two people have died in a forest fire in Greece during the night. Around 350 firefighters and 18 aircraft and helicopters capable of water bombing fires have participated in the extinguishing work.
The two dead are believed to be local residents who were reported missing on Sunday.
Early on Monday, the fires near Xylókastro in the Peloponnesos region were largely under control, according to the rescue service.
Evacuation orders were issued during the night as a precautionary measure for several communities after the fire broke out on Sunday.
