All American aid is stopped for 90 days. The decision is one of the many decrees that newly inaugurated President Donald Trump signed on his first day on the job.
According to Trump, the aid is stopped to see if the projects are in line with his political goals.
"No further American foreign aid will be paid out in a way that is not entirely in line with the US President's foreign policy", he writes.
However, it is unclear how large a part of the aid is affected since many projects have already been approved by Congress and allocated funds.
