The magazine Time appoints the USA's next president Donald Trump as "Person of the Year".
"Since he began running for the presidential election in 2015, perhaps no single person has played a greater role in changing the course of politics and history than Trump", the magazine writes about its choice.
"On the threshold of his second presidency, we are all – from his most fanatical supporters to his most ardent critics – living in the Trump era."
The 78-year-old Trump has, according to Time, made a comeback of historic proportions.
It is the second time he receives the appointment, the last time was in 2016 when he won the USA's presidential election. This year, he was one of the nominees along with, among others, Vice President Kamala Harris, entrepreneur Elon Musk, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.
