A woman in her 60s tried to take her own life and that of her severely disabled daughter by setting fire to the car they were sitting in. Now the woman has been convicted of attempted murder, local media reports.
The incident occurred last summer outside Uppsala. When the car began to burn, the woman regretted her actions and managed to get her daughter out of the car.
The woman is now sentenced to five years in prison. She is also ordered to pay 200,000 kronor in damages to her daughter.
