A 24-year-old woman has died after a single-vehicle accident on county road 771 at Sätra Brunn in Sala municipality on Wednesday evening. The woman was traveling in a car with four other people when the car for unknown reasons rolled off the road.
We were alerted at 21.35 and arrived at the scene with an ambulance and rescue service. All were taken to hospital and at the hospital it was found that a 24-year-old woman had unfortunately died, says Fredrik Lindström, commander at police region Mitt.
It is unclear how seriously injured the other people are.
We have seized the vehicle. I will not comment on whether anyone is to blame at this point, but to be able to investigate the cause of the accident, we are working on suspicion of causing another person's death and reckless driving, says Fredrik Lindström.
