Several people were injured in an accident on Highway 35 near Överum northwest of Västervik.
The alarm about the accident, which involved two vehicles, came at around 4:30 pm on Sunday.
Three people were taken to hospital after the accident, reports Västerviks-Tidningen.
In the evening, Region Kalmar announced that the three, a man and a woman in their 75s and a woman in her 80s, are seriously injured. All of them have been admitted to the intensive care unit.
