Israel conducted extensive air raids on several areas in Iran on Sunday.

The attacks were particularly intense in western Iran. "(The Air Force) has launched a series of attacks on a dozen robot targets" in the region, according to a statement from Israel's military.

Air strikes were also carried out against the airport in Mashhad in northeastern Iran.

Even Tehran was attacked, including the capital's police headquarters, according to Iranian media. The Defense Ministry's headquarters is also said to have suffered lighter damage after an attack.

Iran confirms that the intelligence chief of the Revolutionary Guard, Mohammad Kazemi, and two other generals in the intelligence service have been killed in Israeli attacks on Sunday, according to the Iranian news agency Irna.

Robot rain against Israel

Iran has in turn attacked Israel with waves of extensive robot attacks. Iran is said to have fired more than 270 rockets, and at least 22 of them have bypassed the Israeli air defense.

On Sunday evening, a new Iranian robot attack occurred. Israel's military says that the rescue service "is working at several locations in the country where reports of fallen projectiles have been received". Haaretz writes that seven people have been injured in the coastal city of Haifa.

– Iran will have to pay a very high price for the murder of civilians, women and children, says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said earlier on Sunday that if Israel stops its attacks on Iran, "our retaliatory attacks will also cease".

Iran announced on Sunday afternoon that mosques, subway stations and schools will be opened to the public and will function as shelters.

Death toll rises

Updated death tolls came on Sunday afternoon, although several of the reports have not been verified by independent sources.

At least 13 people have been killed in Israel since the country launched its attacks on Iran on the night of Friday, according to reports on Sunday. In total, around 360 people have been injured in Israel, according to Israel.

At least 128 people in Iran have been killed in Israeli attacks on Friday and Saturday, and around 900 people have been injured, according to Iranian media.

The US-based human rights group HRA, which has long followed the development in Iran, reports that 406 people have been killed and 654 injured over the past three days. Iran has not confirmed the reports.

The EU foreign ministers will meet on Tuesday to discuss the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Israel has justified its attacks by saying that the country must prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Approximately 4,000 Swedes are currently in Israel, according to the Foreign Ministry for TT. In Iran, there are said to be around 1,000 Swedes. The numbers are, however, uncertain and many more Swedes may be in the two countries.
