The rape became known early on Saturday morning when the police were in an apartment on another matter. A man had reported being threatened with a weapon-like object, but it turned out not to be a real weapon.
In connection with our presence, a woman told us that she had been raped, says the police's press spokesperson Mats Eriksson.
One of the men was arrested on suspicion of aggravated rape. He allegedly threatened the woman with a weapon-like object during the assault. The other two were arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting aggravated rape.
The men, who are between 25 and 35 years old, were later detained by a prosecutor on duty.
They are all somehow involved in an aggravated rape, says Karin Rosander, communications director at the Prosecution Authority.
