The labor market for privately employed officials remained tough during the third quarter, and 4,086 officials were laid off, according to the reorganization organization TRR.

"Unfortunately, we do not see any recovery in the labor market during the autumn," says Johan Lagerhäll, CEO of TRR, according to a press release.

Most layoffs came from the trade and sales industries, followed by the electronics industry and finance, insurance, and economic services.

The number of layoffs can be compared to the same period last year, when 3,651 privately employed officials were laid off.

During the past quarter, demand was still high. 2,870 of the registered officials with TRR have moved on to new employment, including work, studies, or entrepreneurship.

TRR works on behalf of Svenskt Näringsliv and the trade union organization PTK.
