Skandia is the cheapest on variable rates, SEB on fixed rates. Mortgage interest rates continued to fall in September, according to a review among the larger players conducted by Compricer, writes Dagens industri.
The lowest variable rate, 4.08 percent, for new customers or customers who renegotiated, was offered by Skandiabanken in September according to the banks' reported average interest rates. Overall, the larger mortgage players, the eight largest in this compilation, have lowered their variable average interest rates by between 0.13 and 0.24 percentage points compared to August.
The lowest fixed rate, three or five years, has SEB with an average interest rate of 2.95 percent in September.
The banks' list rates are, as usual, far above what customers actually pay, i.e., the so-called average interest rate.
