Danish freight giant Maersk is raising its financial targets for 2025 despite the USA's tariff policy. The company is counting on resilient demand outside the USA.
"Despite market volatility and historic uncertainty in global trade, demand has remained robust, and we have continued to react quickly and flexibly", writes CEO Vincent Clerc in a comment.
Maersk is now raising its forecast to an ebit result of between 8 to 9.5 billion dollars during 2025 from previously 6 to 9 billion dollars. The increase is clearly above the analysts' expectations, which on average are at 7.94 billion for 2025.
Maersk accounts for around 14 percent of the entire world's container fleet.
