There is a risk of new downpours and thunderstorms in Götaland and on Gotland, and possibly Svealand over the weekend, according to the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute. The rainy weather will move in on Saturday, after a calm weather Friday, and yellow warnings have been issued for southern and eastern Götaland and Gotland.
According to meteorologists, it is difficult to assess which areas will be most affected and where the risk of flooding, similar to those that affected mainly the Jönköping area last week, is greatest. But the assessment is that up to 30-50 millimeters of rain may fall in a short time, and possibly up to 60 millimeters on Gotland.
There may be strong gusts of wind in connection with the bad weather, and in the Baltic Sea, it may reach gale force.
On Sunday, the rain is expected to subside as it moves north over the country.
