A number of companies reported their interim reports during the morning. The real estate company SBB, a favorite among small investors, did report increased rental income, but at the same time made a loss of one billion kronor. After an initial decline, the share turned around and performed best in the OMXS30 index: plus 6.2 percent.
Meanwhile, the hygiene company Essity rose 1.1 percent, linked to an increased recommendation from the American bank JP Morgan.
The worst performer in the OMXS30 was the measurement instrument manufacturer Hexagon, which fell 1.2 percent.
The radiation therapy company Elekta did not meet market expectations with its interim report – both sales and operating profit were a disappointment. However, the share rose 2.5 percent.
The investment company Storskogen presented new financial targets in connection with the company's capital market day in the morning. The share surged 11.6 percent.
On the leading European stock exchanges, the trend was mixed. The London Stock Exchange rose marginally, while the Paris Stock Exchange fell by nearly 1 percent.
