The government's budget proposal risks being a hard blow to the solar cell industry. In a letter to Energy and Business Minister Ebba Busch (KD), Anna Werner, CEO of the industry organization Svensk Solenergi, asks her to reconsider.

In the 2025 budget, the tax deduction for solar cell installations on villas and similar properties is reduced from 20 to 15 percent. At the same time, the tax deduction of 60 öre per kWh for electricity sold on the market is abolished.

The measures are not unreasonable in the long run, but must be implemented with longer notice, according to the industry.

The solar cell industry "wants to draw the minister's attention to the fact that the decisions made in the coming months are crucial for the industry's short-term survival", Werner writes in the letter.
