The Promise: "Try to sing both national anthems"

Parken has been his home as both a player and a leader. Tonight, Denmark's top scorer of all time is coming home to "the city" as an opponent. I'll try to sing both national anthems, says Sweden's national team coach Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Parken has been his home as both a player and a leader.

Danmark's top scorer of all time is coming home to "the city" as an opponent tonight.

Today, the Danes are celebrating their Constitution Day – the closest Denmark gets to a national day – and in the evening, the red-white national team will face Sweden at Parken in Copenhagen.

For Sweden's national team coach Jon Dahl Tomasson, the friendly match will be something extra special, of course.

Tomasson scored 52 goals in his 112 A-team matches. A record he shares with Poul "Tist" Nielsen (1910-1925). He has played in two World Cups and two European Championships for Denmark and expects a warm welcome from his fellow countrymen.

Kasper Hjulmand, Tomasson's colleague in Denmark, praises Tomasson.

Even Hjulmand believes it will be a great moment for Tomasson in front of almost 38,000 spectators at the national arena.

Tomasson won't hold back if there's a Swedish goal and will sing both "Der er et yndigt land" and "Du gamla, du fria" before kickoff at 7:00 PM.
