It "pours in" women from Colombia to Sweden for the purpose of being exploited in prostitution, says Simon Häggström, police inspector at the prostitution group at Norrmalmspolisen, to P4 Stockholm.

More or less every working shift when we work out in Stockholm's evening and Stockholm's night, we encounter new women from Colombia whom we have not met before, he says.

What it depends on, Simon Häggström finds difficult to point out, but raises that it is an unstable country and many have it economically bad. One hour with a Swedish man can correspond to a whole month's salary in Colombia, he says.

According to him, it is clear that the women are controlled by pimp networks that do not reside in Sweden.

Most of the women we meet from Colombia cannot even make themselves understood in English. So we see clearly that these women are in someone else's hands and are controlled, they are very scared.
