We must do more, this threat is greater and more acute than we thought, and then we must increase the tempo, says Thedéen to the radio channel.
Thedéen visited the Riksdag's finance committee on Tuesday to inform about how the Swedish Central Bank works with preparedness for a serious crisis or war, including ensuring that payments function.
He believes that grocery stores and pharmacies should be required to accept cash, and that one should be able to pay with cards even when the internet is down.
This cannot be done in Sweden, but in Denmark. Here, I think that we and the industry quickly must get it in place, says Thedéen to Ekot.
He further says that Sweden can learn from Ukraine, which has had a functioning payment system during the ongoing war.
It is important for morale, for preparedness, and the feeling that society functions, but also really important to be able to buy necessities, for example, says Thedéen.
