Timrå defender Lukas Pilö got his skate stuck in the ice, got his leg under him and screamed out his pain before being taken off the ice to be taken to the hospital.
It has now been established that the 25-year-old has suffered a fracture in his ankle.
"The estimated time for rehabilitation is 3 months," says team doctor Christian Rydin to Timrå's website.
Timrå won the SHL match against Växjö with 4–0.
