A teenager has died after being hit by a car on road 600 outside Uppsala on Thursday evening, reports Upsala Nya Tidning.
The alarm came at 21.30 and the boy was taken to hospital by ambulance, but his life could not be saved.
The police have seized the car and filed a report on causing another person's death.
This is done routinely in such cases to investigate what happened, says Marcus Isberg, regional command leader at the police.
