A man in Halland has been sentenced to eight years in prison after raping a girl in her younger teens, reports SVT News Halland.
The man – in his upper middle age – worked as a teaching assistant and the crimes are said to have taken place in 2023 and 2024.
He was convicted by the district court for four counts of aggravated rape of a child, one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, 19 counts of sexual harassment of a child, and two counts of rape of a child.
He is also required to pay 830,000 kronor in damages. The man has confessed to the crimes.
