"We dare to claim that the Swedish model is our superpower. The parties on the labor market have historically shown that we can together solve the toughest of questions", writes TCO's chairman Therese Svanström in a post on DN Debatt, and suggests that the parties jointly point out the direction for climate work.
TCO will this fall invite to climate talks. Among the reforms that the union proposes are a strategy for competence supply for green jobs, functioning transition study support with a strong unemployment insurance, and a reduction of the climate footprint of jobs.
"Large investments will be required to adapt society", writes the article author, who believes that the goal for financial savings can be negative for a period to finance the necessary investments.
TCO also wants to see a tax refund for transition and proposes a model where the carbon dioxide tax is refunded to families and companies to promote climate-smart choices.
