Johanna Hagström and Maja Dahlqvist had to settle for second place in the season's final sprint competition.
Dahlqvist had a good position on the final stretch, but had to give in to Coletta Rydzek on the final sprint.
For the second day in a row, she had to step up to the highest step on the podium in the World Championship final in Lahtis. She also won the individual sprint, her first World Championship victory in her career.
Unbelievable. I didn't know what I had left (in my body) after yesterday, and I didn't get much sleep. It's a dream, says Coletta Rydzek to Viaplay.
Rydzek was asked how she would celebrate her double victory.
We've been invited to Jasmi Joensuu's (the Finnish woman who won the sprint cup) "global party". It's wonderful to end the season with two victories, she says.
Hagström and Dahlqvist praised Rydzek:
In a sprint, there aren't many who can take her, says Hagström.
I know she's better when it's tougher tracks and tougher sprints, but she's awesome on this one, says Dahlqvist.
The Swedish duo was the fastest in the qualifying round. Yet, they didn't grumble after finishing second.
Really fun. Maja did a great job on the final stretch, says Johanna Hagström.
Switzerland finished third.
Sweden's second team, with Moa Lundgren and Moa Ilar, finished sixth.
