Sara Lundberg's picture book "Kattpromenaden" has been awarded the New York Times/New York Public Library prize for the best illustrated children's book.
The prize is awarded to ten winners and the jury has made its selection from picture books published in the USA based on artistic quality.
"I am deeply honored by this recognition. 'Kattpromenaden' is a tribute to my cat who taught me a lot about life", says Sara Lundberg in a press release.
"Kattpromenaden" is about a person and a cat who take a walk together every day. They always take the same route, but one day the cat gets tired and goes in a different direction. The book was praised by critics when it was published in March 2023.
