Swedish women got a tough start in the US Open golf in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, already in the first round – and the second round continued in the same dismal tone.
Of the five Swedish women who played, only two remain after the second round. Linn Grant, who was best of the blue and yellow after the first round, had 77 strokes in the second round, a total of nine over par, and therefore did not make the cut. Neither did Ingrid Lindblad, who had 11 over par after the second round, or Maja Stark, 13 over par, get to play on.
It went better for Anna Nordqvist, who played the second round two over par. Overall, she is tied for 34th place with six over par.
Even Madelene Sagström made the cut with a total of eight over par after two rounds. She is tied for 59th place.
