The police were alerted at 22.10 about loud bangs in the Årby area. A short while later, an injured man arrived at the hospital.

We are linking it clearly to the shooting, says the police's press spokesperson Johnny Gustavsson.

The incident is classified as attempted murder and serious weapons offense. Currently, no one has been arrested.

Several buildings were hit in connection with the shooting, says Johnny Gustavsson.

The police have cordoned off the hospital to allow the staff to work undisturbed.

The suspected crime scene has also been cordoned off. The police are working on securing evidence and interviewing witnesses on site. Two cars have been seized for technical examination.

We are securing the crime scene and at the same time trying to track down suspected perpetrators.
