Nibe Industries, which sells climate control systems to properties, continued to decline after last week's interim report and lost 4.0 percent. It also went poorly for cloud service company Sinch, down 3.1 percent, after the company presented new financial targets at a capital market day.

Together with real estate company SBB and appliance manufacturer Electrolux, they thus ended up at the bottom of the OMXS30 index, which lists the most traded stocks.

The best performers in OMXS30 were major bank SEB and pharmaceutical giant Astra Zeneca, both of which rose 0.8 percent. Automation conglomerate ABB and lock giant Assa Abloy rose 0.7 percent.

The Persson family, owners, have bought shares in clothing chain H&M for 283 million kronor. The share rose 0.1 percent.

After the recent negative development, the Stockholm Stock Exchange's increase since the turn of the year has been reduced to 4.4 percent.

Indices on the European major stock exchanges in Frankfurt, London, and Paris all fell by a few tenths of a percent on Wednesday.
