After nearly ten years' break, South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol is going to start playing golf again.

The motivation?

He wants to hone his swing for potential future rounds with Donald Trump.

"To facilitate smooth talks, he needs to be able to hit the ball properly", says an aide to the South Korean president.

The newspaper Kyongin Ilbo reports that Yoon usually needs at least 90 strokes during his rounds.

Donald Trump, who will become the US President again after the New Year, is a big golf enthusiast who likes to boast about his playing skills. According to his own statement, Trump, who owns several golf courses in the US and around the world, has a single handicap.

Japan's former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is one who has tried to build closer ties with Trump on the golf course. The duo is said to have played several rounds together during Trump's previous term as President.
