Wahlroth notes that Kombispel has repeatedly received serious customer complaints and has changed subcontractors several times. Other clients, several telecom operators and electricity companies, who have hired the same subcontractor, telemarketing company Effective Communications, have not had any problems, according to her.
Effective Communications has many large clients who have never had problems with Effective. And then we must ask ourselves, what is it that Kombispel does that makes them constantly have problems with their subcontractors? says Tina Wahlroth.
And it's not possible to blame a subcontractor.
The responsibility is Kombispel's. It doesn't matter if you use a supplier or do it yourself, she says.
Can be contagious
Contact is a non-profit organization that represents companies in customer service and telesales on the Swedish market.
The fact that Effective Communications is not excluded from Contact is because the trade organization only has Swedish companies among its members.
The organization is worried that Kombispel's sales methods will contaminate the entire industry.
She has noted that Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar, in the wake of the S-lottery scandal, has proposed that telesales should be banned.
But it's not the channel, the phone that's the problem, it's the actor in the channel who acts deceitfully or incorrectly, says Wahlroth.
Kombispel's newly appointed CEO Jonas Nygren says in a comment to TT:
"It's natural not to be part of an interest organization for telemarketing, since Kombispel no longer works with telemarketing. But we can see that we have fewer complaints to the Consumer Agency than several of the companies that are still members."
The board must go
It was Dagens Nyheter that last week revealed that Kombispel had used aggressive sales of S-lotteries, which has resulted in many complaints to, among others, the Consumer Agency.
Since then, the Social Democrats have called for the board of Kombispel to resign and the CEO has been fired.
