The Social Democratic Party's leader Magdalena Andersson, the former Foreign Minister Ann Linde, and the party's international secretary Paula Carvalho Olovsson are traveling to Chicago in the USA where the Democratic Party is holding a convention.
The Swedes will, among other things, have individual meetings with party representatives and visit campaign workers in the nearby swing state of Wisconsin, according to information to TT.
The former Social Democratic leader Stefan Löfven, who is now the chairman of the gathering party for Europe's social democrats (PES), is also attending the convention, which takes place on August 19-22. The Democrats have already, prior to the meeting, in a digital vote, agreed to nominate the current Vice President Kamala Harris as presidential candidate. She is expected to hold her keynote speech on Thursday evening local time.
