In the package from Colombia, there were various hair care products. But it was not shampoo or conditioner in the bottles – but narcotics.

In total, the Customs Service found over a kilo of cocaine in the package, which was addressed to a 29-year-old woman in Gothenburg.

The Customs Service then let the woman pick up the cocaine and followed her. This led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man as well. In his apartment, an additional 640 grams of cocaine and a mobile phone with evidence of various forms of drug trafficking were found.

According to the Customs Service, the man can be linked to handling a total of nine kilos of cocaine on various occasions.

The man, who has confessed to the crime, is now being prosecuted for, among other things, aggravated drug offenses. The woman is being prosecuted, despite her denial, for gross drug offenses.

"The image material in his mobile phone and the chat conversations we see that he has had with others make us feel fairly confident about a conviction", says Richard Johansson, group manager at the Customs Service, in a press release.
