Positive ending to the stock market week

The Stockholm Stock Exchange ended the trading week on a strong note. The OMXS index closed 0.5 percent up.

On the OMXS30 index with the most traded shares, the real estate company SBB performed the best. The share surged 10.4 percent.

Among other companies that stood out were the forestry company SCA and the cloud service company Sinch, which rose 2.5 and 1.9 percent, respectively.

At the other end, companies such as the heat pump company Nibe, which fell 0.6 percent, were noticeable.

The defense group Saab has received an order from the Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) for the Giraffe radar system, with an order value reported to be approximately 700 million kronor. The share fell 0.1 percent.

Among other companies, a rise of 8.9 percent was noted for the debt collection company Intrum following the morning's announcement of a green light for the company's recapitalization plan.

The development on the leading European stock exchanges was calm with marginal declines or rises.

In the afternoon, new inflation statistics for the USA were released. Inflation stood at 2.5 percent in July according to the so-called PCE measure. This was unchanged compared to the previous month and in line with market expectations according to Bloomberg's compilation.
