SJ takes over the night train traffic between Stockholm and Luleå and Norwegian Narvik, according to a press release from the Transport Administration.
The agreement applies from December 15 and for one year ahead, and there is an opportunity for extension with an additional year.
Thus, the agreement with Vy train is not extended, which has been responsible for the traffic since December 2020.
Last time SJ was responsible for the night train on the stretch was between 2008 and 2020.
