At least six people have died and 78 injured since the roof of a shopping mall collapsed in the city of Trujillo in northwestern Peru.
According to the country's Defense Minister Walter Astudillo, the condition of three of the injured is life-threatening.
The heavy roof collapsed onto a food court in the Real Plaza Trujillo shopping mall on Saturday, where a large number of people were present. According to the rescue service, there are no signs that more people have died, but the search for survivors continues.
The mall has been closed as a result of the accident and other malls in the city will be inspected, says the mayor of Trujillo.
