An apartment was shot at in Märsta north of Stockholm on Monday evening.
We received an alarm from people who heard several loud bangs and when we arrived, we could soon confirm that there were bullet holes in a door, says the police's press spokesperson Anna Westberg.
The alarm came shortly after 11 pm. The incident is classified as attempted murder and serious weapons offense, and the police have a comprehensive operation in the area.
We are conducting interviews through door-to-door knocking and have also cordoned off the crime scene for a technical investigation. Parallel to this, work is ongoing to investigate and continue mapping out the context in which this happened and why at this particular location.
No one was physically injured in the incident. Whether anyone was in the apartment at the time, the police do not want to comment on, citing the ongoing investigation.
Has anyone been arrested in the case?
That's something I can't comment on at present, says Westberg.
