A local sheriff has been arrested on suspicion of murder after shooting a district judge in a courthouse in Whitesburg in the state of Kentucky in southern USA.
According to the police's initial investigation, the two had some kind of discussion or argument in the courthouse immediately before the shooting. The 54-year-old judge was shot shortly thereafter in his office, with multiple shots, and died there.
The suspected sheriff was arrested on the spot, without resisting.
