The songwriter, producer, and artist Raghd Shokai receives the music publishers' scholarship for 2024. The jury highlights her "detailed song craftsmanship" and ability to surprise the listener, and states in the motivation: "With an experimental expression and a seamless combination of the fragile and the hard, this year's scholarship holder has landed in her own musical language”.

"I'm thrilled to receive this award, which for me symbolizes being heard and seen as a producer and songwriter", says Raghd Shokai, who hopes to inspire others to share their stories.

Her combination of alternative pop, rap, and electronic dance has, among other things, been the soundtrack for the Netflix series "Young royals", and she has been seen as an opening act for Deki Alem.

The award is presented annually by an independent jury to recognize a young songwriting talent at the beginning of their career, and the scholarship amounts to 50,000 kronor. It will be presented at Artipelag in Stockholm on November 8.
