SD Member Leaves Political Assignments

The Member of Parliament Daniel Lönn (SD) is resigning from all political assignments, he writes on his Facebook page. The message comes the day after a review conducted by Expo shows that Lönn had visible likes on social media of anti-Semitism and follows accounts of known Nazis.

Against the background of the recent days' media reporting, I have decided to leave my political assignments, writes Daniel Lönn on Facebook.

According to Expo, Lönn has held several high positions in The Sweden Democrats. He is vice chairman of SD's district in Dalarna and has several assignments for SD in Borlänge.

According to Expo's review, Lönn has, for example, liked a post from December 2024 with a rewritten version of the poster for the film "Jaws". The English title "Jaws" has been replaced with "Jews". The shark seen in the original image has been replaced with a large nose and the swimming people with 100-dollar bills.

Among the accounts Lönn follows on Instagram are two people linked to the Nazi Nordic Resistance Movement (NMR).

In his Facebook post, Lönn writes that he "is many things, but definitely not an anti-Semite" and that his likes do not say anything about his opinions or values.
