Last night, we received a threat against parts of the school. The police are informed and working on it, says Kävlinge's education chief Johan Holmqvist to TT.
He cannot comment on what type of threat it is, but according to the police, someone has expressed themselves in a way that can be perceived as threatening in a chat group.
"It is currently unclear whether the potential threat is directed against anyone at the school," the police write on their website.
An email was sent to guardians on Wednesday morning.
"Due to a possible security risk for our students, we in the school management, in consultation with the department head, security chief, and police, decided late last night to close the school today, Wednesday, December 11," it says in the email, according to Sydsvenskan.
Guardians have been understanding, but it creates some frustration, of course, says Johan Holmqvist.
He states that the school will likely be open as usual tomorrow.
There is no danger to the general public, according to Holmqvist's assessment.
