Only hours after the massacre at Campus Risbergska in Örebro, a well-made fundraising website was created. There, visitors are urged to donate money to help "the victims and their families to rebuild their lives".

The sender claims to be a British-registered international charity foundation, but according to SVT's investigation, it is a scam.

According to British authorities, the alleged foundation is not approved as a charity organization. Instead, there is a trademark, whose registration number is said to have been used to create similar collections in support of Gaza and those affected by the fires in southern California.

Behind the operation, whose headquarters is located at a business hotel in British Bradford, stands a single man in his 40s, according to SVT.

SVT has unsuccessfully sought the man, who, according to the hotel's switchboard operator, usually comes to the office.
