On the bridge leading to Donald Trump's residence and club Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, tens of Trump supporters gathered for a spontaneous party in the wind on Tuesday afternoon local time.
Flags were waving from their cars and one of Trump's favorite songs "YMCA" boomed from loudspeakers.
I'm a hundred percent sure we're going to win. This election is too big to rig, says Palm Beach resident Lonnie, who doesn't want to give his last name.
I'm for everything that's Maga (Make America Great Again, Trump's slogan) – closed borders, stop child and drug trafficking, and we should drill, drill, drill for oil.
Trump supporters of different ages, including small children, participated in the party. The police presence was noticeable and the barriers around Mar-a-Lago, where an enormous American flag was raised, made traffic flow slowly.
"Believe in strong borders"
Earlier in the day, TT visited the city hall in West Palm Beach, which functioned as a polling station.
Ron, who doesn't want to give his last name, sat outside with a large Trump sign.
I'm conservative. I believe in strong borders, freedom, and peace through showing strength. We had no wars under Trump, see what's happened in Ukraine under Joe Biden, he says.
Tarelle Galdorine has just voted for the Democrats' Kamala Harris.
I'm black, I would never vote for someone who incites hate and racism, she says, and adds:
Moreover, it's time for a woman in the White House.
Abortion rights the most important issue
Heidi Roth and Franz Favre say that the voting went smoothly and are satisfied as they come out of the polling station in the city hall.
We voted for Kamala. Or rather against Donald Trump and everything he stands for, says Favre.
The most important issue for me is abortion rights, says Roth.
Businessman and consultant Daniel Imperado is critical of both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. He has run his own presidential campaign and hopes to stand as an independent candidate in the 2028 election. In the polling station in West Palm Beach, he wrote in his own name on the ballot.
I'm conservative and have worked all over the world and really want to help my country, he says.
